The Kid Walk is CASA of Humboldt's way to make sure that every abused and neglected child in Humboldt County can find a safe permanent home as quickly as possible. Kid Walkers of all ages form teams with their friends, family and coworkers and raise as much money as they can to support CASA of Humboldt. CASA provides several fun and easy fundraisers that your team can choose to do, or you can create your own.
The Kid Walk fundraising is ongoing to fit your schedule. The fun continues until the Kid Walk event on October 1st.
Last year, 127 local children had an advocate by their side to help them navigate the turbulent and often frightening foster care system, but there are over 358 children who needed our help. No child should have to go through this world alone. With your help, we can stand up and speak out for every abused and neglected child in Humboldt County.
2016 CASA Kid Walk
Saturday, October 1st at 6:00 pm in Old Town Eureka. Meet at the foot of C Street by the Madaket dock.
The Kid Walk Celebration will take place during the October Arts Alive. This is a time to get together with all the people who have participated in this year's Kid Walk and appreciate the great impact you have in the lives of local foster children. We will hold an award ceremony for the teams who raise the most money, followed by a one mile walk through Old Town Eureka in solidarity with the children CASA serves.
Rewards & Prizes
When you register your team you and your team mates will get a free Kid Walk t-shirt.
You must turn in your funds to the CASA office by Friday, September 30th at 6:00 pm to have them count toward the "Top Earners" contest. Funds can still be turned in after this date, but that money will not count towards the contest.
